Problem loading

Ever since installing FC 2 everytime I switch from a briefing screen to loading screen it always takes me back to the desktop for about 20secs, and then shows that small screen of 2 Eagles at dusk and then starts loading, and also shows the taskbar at the end of a mission. Is this a bug or normal?

 

And the graphics seem to have a delay in loading, ?

Normal I think. I see the same thing here.

Normal. Menu and simulation engine are two different executables. So when you star a mission the menu program ends, and simulation program starts.

Ok, do you also have graphic delays sometimes?

What do you mean ? Stutters ?

I rarely see stutters. Only when firing the first missile in a mission I see a small stutter. I guess it takes a little time to load the sound-effect for the launch. Also when new elements spawn in a mission it stutters a little. No big deal however.

To tackle this, you need to post your hardware specs and the FC2-graphics settings. Also make sure you have the latest graphics-drivers installed.

The delay from the "Menu" -> Splashscreen, ~10-20 seconds, then Loadingscreen takes about ~10 - 60 seconds depending on the mission.
