Boberro Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 Hey, In previous version of LO every category (example Air-to-Air [2], CAC [3], BORE [4] or Ground [7]) had its own keys assignment. You could set example SPACE in Air-to-Air [2] mode which worked only in that mode - it didn't in [3], [4], [7]. In LO2 there is no division to categories. When you assign SPACE to fire it will work in all modes - [2] - [7]. Can I have divided keys assignments like it was in LO1 - IMHO better ? Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... Panzertard Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 Not that I'm aware of - the exception being those fighters where the trigger for the gun is separate from the weapon release. And with others they are one and the same. May I ask what you are trying to acomplish? I dont understand the need right now. The mind is like a parachute. Boberro Posted July 25, 2010 Author Posted July 25, 2010 I use mouse for radar TD movement. In LO 1 I could use mouse axis to move TD and use Helmet mode too (thanks to division of key assignments). Now I have to choose - radar move or Helmet ;] Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... Panzertard Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 Okai, I see - thats a "controller" specific issue then. Hm, you trying to use the same controller and it's axis for 2 different functions. How about using modifiers? I dont know if they will effect the mouse-axis, but you could try. LCTRL for TD, and pure mouse axis for Helmet? The mind is like a parachute. Boberro Posted July 25, 2010 Author Posted July 25, 2010 Yeah I want to use same key\axis whatever for various functions. I've tried to use modifiers before but it is not as easy as using "normal" axis without modifier. You know in combat action you don't have time for modifiers at all ;] That solution which is present in LO 1 is imho very good, I wish LO 2 had that ;] Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. winz Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 I cannot say I agree. Having to assign keys separately for every plane is enough of pain by itself (although I undenstand that..different planes, different controls). Having to assign keys for each mode would be a big overkill. The Valley A-10C Version Revanche for FC 3
