S77th-Souless Posted May 7, 2005 Posted May 7, 2005 Thank you very much for a response about the upcomming patch the community appreciates it, though no date has been set suffice to say at least we know its comming ;)
Trident Posted May 7, 2005 Posted May 7, 2005 I think they did right to not mention any dates. Setting a fixed schedule can be a tricky business, the LOMAC community in particular should know that all too well ;) As soon as the release is postponed for the first time people would start to question ED for publishing a date, just the way they did with LOMAC, its patches and most recently 1.1.
Jetfire Posted May 7, 2005 Posted May 7, 2005 Yes, thank you Olgerd. That post that Olgerd replied to should be made a STICKY. I know it's not an official statement, but it's better than no statement at all. Those of us who don't check in here every day might miss a post like that! I know that post gave me some more hope for 1.1.
BuzzU Posted May 7, 2005 Posted May 7, 2005 I agree that no dates is a better way to go. Oleg is always getting in trouble by setting dates that can never be met. I'm happy to know it's being worked on, and I don't need anymore than that. Buzz
RvETito Posted May 7, 2005 Posted May 7, 2005 I agree that it's too early for release date. I never liked dead-lines, sometimes things gets screwed up despite your efforts and may often dissapoint people. What I realy want to see are regular info updates about the incomming 1.2. The site and the forum got pretty silent from devs' and testers' side. C'mon give us some info, like you did with 1.1 and even Ubi with 1.0. Some screenshots for example of the 3D model and cockpit of the flyable Ka-50 would be highly appreciated. The officials are suspiciously quiet these days... "See, to me that's a stupid instrument. It tells what your angle of attack is. If you don't know you shouldn't be flying." - Chuck Yeager, from the back seat of F-15D at age 89. =RvE=
