Poor mans sniper Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Has anyone made a checklist to check off everything while starting up the Helicopter? It would be a HUGE help for beginners (me)

slug88 Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 Quite a few people have made them, which you can find by using the forum's search function. Also, the extended Pilot's Manual, which can be downloaded from the main DCS page, has a chapter devoted to startup and shutdown checklists. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Frederf Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 They aren't really checklists, they're procedures. There's a marked difference. It really doesn't take too much effort to write your own for yourself, making them look pretty is another matter. Writing your own procedure notes and checklists is a great way to learn your procedures while giving the exact expanded/compact balance tailored for you. You'll even find that over several short periods you'll want more and more compact procedures and checklists as you become more familiar.
