jack72 Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 I have a CD version of LO, the original and need to re install the game after my view.dll keeps getting deleted. I have only one more activation left and want to get more as I may have to do this again. What information do I need to provide so that they know I have the product as I purchased this from a store several years ago and don't have the recipt anymore.

deadsmell Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 If you have a Flaming cliffs disc, you have unlimited activations. just insert the disc. you said you bought it years ago, so were talking Flaming Cliffs. Flaming Cliffs 2 is a different story. But since you dont have Flaming Cliffs 2, and you say you have a disc of Flaming Cliffs, you shouldnt be in any need of activations......... Dont let the smell get to ya...............

I have original Lockon CD (purchased before Flaming Cliffs was ever avialable). Two odd things in your story: 1. LockOn used a program to check your CD. You didn't need to activate it via internet, code or anything. So how can you have only one activation left? :huh: 2. If you uninstall FC2/DCS you will be asked if you want to deactivate your copy. If you do, you won't lose an activation. If you don't reinstalling won't cost you an activation either, unless your changed your PC in the meanwhile. Is it possible that you're mixing something up here? jack72 Posted August 3, 2010 Author Posted August 3, 2010 I don't thnk I am mixing things up... I do not have FC2 installed at all.. After each time that I had to delete and reinstall the original lockon and FC1, I had to put in a long code of numbers. After doing so..it said I had so many activations left. No I am down to my last one and will need to reinstall so I figure after this one, I will have 0 left.
