RaoulDuke1980 Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 (edited) I'm in the process of creating a nice campaign for the SU-25T in FC2, its taking me a while as I've pretty much just started getting to grips with the trigger system. I've created plenty of missions but they've generally been air ground melee with no triggered events. Anyway, I want to assign group names using russian phonetics (i.e russian but in english text) I was wondering if someone could provide me with a list of russian translations in written english for the following: Dagger Scimitar Sword Broadsword Pistol Rifle Tiger Wolf Fox Jackal Snake Javelin Spear and anything else you think is appropriate, as I'm a little stuck for ideas at the minute :helpsmilie: :joystick: Edited August 21, 2010 by RaoulDuke1980 missed text "Eject eject eject! Renato71 Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 Russians would never use such terms. Your s are culturologically NATO-istic. Like, they do not use terms "fox one" or "fox two" as directly translated into Russian. They are more after macho or poetic terms, not that dungeons-and-dragons crap. I'm selling MiG-21 activation key. Also selling Suncom F-15E Talon HOTAS with MIDI connectors, several sets. Contact via PM.
oho Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Hi, I'm very interested in these SU25T Missions. Can you post some of your finished missions?
Ripcord Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 (edited) Russians would never use such terms. Your s are culturologically NATO-istic. I started to write that this is an absolutely untrue statement here, but then I realized it is a matter of opinion. So I don't agree. I guess you've spent a lot of time monitoring Russian/soviet military comms there in Croatia? You don't think their use of the Russian phonetic alphabet (eg, az, buki, vedi, etc) is similar to how we use it in NATO? I don't remember anything poetic or macho, but I damn sure remember them screaming at each other on the radio. Ripcord Edited August 31, 2010 by Ripcord 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
