hachiman Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Hi I am trying to set my mouse on my throttle to control the targeting reticule for locking targets. I used to have this on my old X45 and it worked with the software then, but i can't seem to make it work on the X52 with the new software. On an new profile the mouse just seems to say ministick axis sensitivity. I have added 2 bands to the X and Y axis each and hoped that would give me a smooth movement in all for directions. Sadly doesn't seem to be working. Any suggestions or instructions on how to do it? Screenshot below of what i've done so far. Thanx
Eddie Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Try adding a third band in the middle with no function, with each band around a 33%.
Sarge55 Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Or, program in game, Controls/axis commands. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] i7 10700K OC 5.1GHZ / 500GB SSD & 1TB M:2 & 4TB HDD / MSI Gaming MB / GTX 1080 / 32GB RAM / Win 10 / TrackIR 4 Pro / CH Pedals / TM Warthog
hachiman Posted August 21, 2010 Author Posted August 21, 2010 Hi Guys. I downloaded the latest software and this allowed me to add direction controls to the Axis's. This is what i ended up wiyh. But i get no reticule movement and the MFD on the X52 doesn't register the movement/commands. Any ideas? Much appreciated.
Eddie Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Use bands, see image. Works fine here, and always has in any sim I've flown.
hachiman Posted August 22, 2010 Author Posted August 22, 2010 Copied yours exactly and still the same. Stumped
hachiman Posted August 22, 2010 Author Posted August 22, 2010 Hi Guys. Well i'm so close to chucking this X52 out the window. I never had any problems with Lomac/FC1 with my old X45 and the old software Saitek provided. I used to make profiles myself back then and i think i did a damn good job. I've attached a word document showing my old X45 profile. If you just look at mode 1 and nothing else. If you look at Mouse hat you'll see the 4 directions for the targeting reticule. And it worked great for the Maverick and also for locking air targets when flying in the fighters. But i am getting nothing now. When i check the controller using the calibration software everything works great. But in the game the targeting reticule doesn't move using the mouse hat. I also see nothing on the MFD to show a reaction to moving the mouse. I'm also getting losing control during the game and the only way to quit the mission is to tab alt delete. After i quit i can't even type on the internet. Nothing happens and i get a beep sound. Once i unplus the X52 it's fine. So i've 3 main issues. 1) The reticule not moving. 2) Losing any control during mission and not being able to quit or escape. 3) Once i get back to desktop i can't type unless i unplug the X52. As long as i solve the first issue then i'll be happy. I'm sure some mixture of key strokes are causing issues 2 and 3. I've also scanned 2 profiles i've made just using mode1. 1 has the mouse hat set as a direction axis and 1 has it as bands. I'm not getting anything using either. So please could someone look at them and tell me whats wrong? I'll also happily email the profiles to anyone to test. Any help greatly appreciated!!!! X45 CONTROL.doc
