Crosstalker Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 (edited) Hey guys, quick question here. I own Lock On (disc version) and want to get Flaming Cliffs 2. I never owned the first Flaming Cliffs. If I have a disc version of Lock On, can I buy and play a digital version of Flaming Cliffs 2? Thanks! Second question: Do I assume correctly that FC1 is not a prerequisite for FC2? I've seen this posted on the FAQ-- Q: What would be the Flaming Cliffs 2 upgrade paths? A: FC2 can be installed over any installation of Lock On, with or without Flaming Cliffs. FC2 is a separate install and does not overwrite your previous game(s). So, your options are either Lock On + Flaming Cliffs unofficial add-on (you would not have to activate) + Flaming Cliffs 2.0 upgrade or Lock On + Flaming Cliffs 2.0. In some cases, it may be a good idea to fully uninstall your previous game (back up whatever you need first), reboot the PC and perform a clean installation of Lock On prior to installing FC2. This sort of answers my question, but my concern is whether FC2 Digital Copy will work fully with LOMAC disc copy. Thanks. Edited August 21, 2010 by Crosstalker
Sarge55 Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 I did a clean install of LOMAC 1.0 from my disk and then installed the download version of FC2 without a problem. I then uninstalled LOMAC 1.0 as I don't use it anymore. FC2 will work flawlessly without LOMAC, it only needs it for the install process due to a licencing issue.
