hawka Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 (edited) just thought I would throw this profile in as no one has yet and it might help someone getting started. The zoom is on the rotary 2 wheel and is programmed in the game options axis tune area, the helmut switch is H hat on the stick and it has a slight delay on it so that it doesn't get switched on or off by accidentx65f black shark.rar Edited September 3, 2010 by hawka forgot to add some information Win 10,MB GA-X79S-UP5 cpu i7-3820 water cooled,GPU 1080ti ,psu corsair HX1200i,,ram Dominator 32GB trackir 5,VKB Gunfighter stick , throttle ,saitek x65f & CH pedals
Sense Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Hi, a lot of people say you shouldn't play a helicopter sim with the x65f, because of the force sensing. how do you experience that?
Bucic Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Hi, a lot of people say you shouldn't play a helicopter sim with the x65f, because of the force sensing. how do you experience that? It absolutely does not matter whether it's a helicopter or an aircraft. If you accept the extravagance of X65 it will be fine. ArtMan_NL Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Hi, a lot of people say you shouldn't play a helicopter sim with the x65f, because of the force sensing. how do you experience that? Yes I am curious as well about the user experiences.
Blarney Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 I have the X-65F and use it with BlackShark. I have to admit, it did take a while to get used to. With a traditional "moving" stick, you can get a real feeling of how far you are pushing the stick in any direction and can hold the stick in that position. With the X-65F you have to get used to maintaining a consistent levle of pressure as opposed to holding the stick in the same place. Doing this took a lot of practice on my part. However, now that I've taught myself this difference, and practiced, practiced, practiced, I would not want to use another stick. It all becomes second nature now and without the physical movement of the stick I can "feel" how the aircraft is going to react without thinking baout how I'm moving the stick. I hope this makes sense. Like I said it took a while to get really used to it (3 months?), but after I did, I would not want to switch back. 486DX w/turbo button
Blarney Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 And with so many buttons and switches, I can map everything I need to and then some. I can also usually get pretty close to the set up of the real thing. Obviously nothing can beat the realism of the Thrustmaster Warthog for the A-10C, but then the accuracy ends there. If you use the Thrustmaster for BlackShark you're in the same boat as the X-65F with the BlackShark. The X-65F has plenty of versatility for upcoming sims and DCS supports it. 486DX w/turbo button
