hassata Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Any indications as to which engines will be modeled? Thanks [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
kingneptune117 Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 good question. hopefully some testers or developers can answer this. GGTharos Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 If I am thinking what you are thinking, TF-34A. There has been no upgrade to the A-10's engines. There was one planned, but it was not funded. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
kingneptune117 Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 If I am thinking what you are thinking, TF-34A. There has been no upgrade to the A-10's engines. There was one planned, but it was not funded. how much would the thrust to weight ratio increased if it was funded? currently it is like .39 i believe. GGTharos Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 It would not. The B has the same amount of thrust, but it actually produces a larger percentage of its maximum rated thrust on hot days and at altitude than the A. So you have the same amount of max thrust, but you get to use a larger % of it in situations where jet engine thrust is normally reduced. Avilator Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Would fuel economy have changed at all? I only respond to that little mechanical voice that says "Terrain! Terrain! Pull Up! Pull Up!" Scabbers Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 yes the B has an improved fuel economy. as well Now where is that speed brakes control again? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
