robmypro Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 I'm not sure this is the right place to ask, but the cockpit is too big/fills my widescreen monitor. How can I adjust the FOV so I am sitting back a little in the cockpit? It's like the cockpit is zoomed in. Thanks.
robmypro Posted October 6, 2010 Author Posted October 6, 2010 Numpad keys: / is zoom out, * is zoom in. Thanks. Any way to save the settings?
Speed Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Thanks. Any way to save the settings? Not that I'm aware of, but zoom needs to be bound to the joystick, zooming is ESSENTIAL for spotting targets and other activites involving the Mk 1 eyeball. Bwaze Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Yes. Hell I don't remember where, but it should be similar to Flaming Cliffs 2 / DCS:BS.
Nate--IRL-- Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Edit line 1059 of Snapviewsdefault.lua in the \config\view folder with Notepad++ Snap[11][13]["viewAngle"] = 83.0 <---- change to suit. But Note that reading the HUD will be come impossible without zooming in first. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
Nate--IRL-- Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 This may be a better sollution ---> OK, i've got it try this for lines 1056 -1062 of snapviewdefault.lua Snap[11][13]["y_trans"] = -0.025 Snap[11][13]["x_trans"] = 0.3 Snap[11][13]["hAngle"] = 0 Snap[11][13]["viewAngle"] = 83.0 Snap[11][13]["vAngle"] = -19 Snap[11][13]["rollAngle"] = 0 Snap[11][13]["z_trans"] = 0 The downside of course is that around the edges of the HUD stuff gets chopped off.
