j0nx Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 I keep getting control locks many times after I trim where I lose complete systems controls and then crash. Something is seriously wrong with this game and the controls! Does trimming really cause complete system failure 50% of the time when you use it? Cyclic, pedals, collective nothing responds right after a trim. I trim and then return all inputs to center right away and then the bird just flips over and crashes while taking no input from me. This game has a big enough learning curve without the helo committing suicide on me for no reason after a trim. Any ideas? JasonJ Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 You are in the new trimmer mode where you have to put the stick back to centre manually before it responds again. Try the other mode, Go to single player >> options >> gameplay Uncheck the Central Trimmer Position mode. This gives you 0.5sec of no response after releasing the trim button giving you time to put the stick back to centre yourself. Remember when you release trimmer this sets a NEW virtual joystick centre position to where your physical stick is. MTFDarkEagle Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Also, are you using a force feedback joystick? Or a joystick that doesn't have FFB? Lukas - "TIN TIN" - 9th Shrek Air Strike Squadron TIN TIN's Cockpit thread
