Well, on the client if I click 'conf' and adjust the wind, it doesn't do anything to the ILS display.

Test that:

on KERCH runway in 05. Add wing to 45 for ex and then the runways must become 23. There is no change on ILS view but on the radar there must be one ;)

I tried with SAKI, it didn't work...but I will try with Kerch.

Okay, my mistake, it all works! I'm sorry, false alarm!

BTW, we need one more thing: The numebr of clients that are permitted to conenct to loatc should be server configurable. There are good reasons.

New version available on my site.

I will stop add new features (except correct bug) , and take some time to test LOTATC with my team  .

Good stuff!

I have a question about destroyable radars: Howmnay can you place, and where must you place them? What does the 'destroyable radar range' do?

Just read my web page.... i add some information ;) i hopes my english was not to bad to understand :icon_frow

I think I understand now :)

I have a suggetion: Instead of recognizing a specific radar -type- just get the object name. If the name starts with LOTATC, it will be used as a 'desroyable radar'. This will then work for all vehicles. :)

it's not working  Even if you rename in mission, i don't receive it via LUA (just the original name) so i must make a choice...... If someone as a solution a can to modification.

Oh, I understand what you're saying ... you can only exptract a 'name' for player aircraft, but not for any other vehicle group. This is too bad :(

That's alright though. Perhaps the complete list of radar types can be added and then we can allow/deny some.

I know you're doing testing right now though, so that's okay; are osme bugs being worked out? How about the one where the bearings are wrongin the radar view when using ATC/ILS?

I have some more features in mind when you decide you would like to add some more, but I think the current list is big enough already :D

Good job man! :D

This ATC-console is mod is fantastic :D.

Something which came to my attention is when one selects a differnt radar range scale from an airfield, one gets to see pretty much the whole map with all aircraft that are flying at that moment.

My request:

1. in some future version, the ATC can only 'see' as far as the range is of an airfield radar -- use this as an selectable option. Perhapos GGTharos have already asked this feature?

2. Please keep the ATC/AWACS console as close to reality as possible.

Technically are you developing this app in Visual C++?

Serioualy, the whole map, or just the 150nm/300km diameter? If it REALLY is the whole map it's a bug.

And yes, the corrent version allows you to restrict the radar range if you use a 'destroyable' radar :)

Disable awacs view, then you can select for each aiport the range you want.

Yessss Visual C++ powerrrrr ;)

Here is my bug report for the moment:

1. When using destroyable radar view, the 'radar' does not retain its assigned range setting. (I set it to 300, it was set to 100 or so)

2. When assigning airfields for ATC, when you switch from red to blue sometimes settings for blue are not retained.

Here are some things that could potentnially be useful: A 'read from mission' button so that lotatc server can read radars once the mission starts, and have ranges assigned to them individually.

Add more radar types. :) Patriot radar would require a special consideration: You must get its orientation and make sure it only has a 110 degree view centered on its orientantion.

Also possibly add the ability to configure radar range per radar type.

Other than that, lookin' good, and thanks for letting us change the font :D

Another important thing:

We need to be able to configure the numebr of clients who can connect to this.

Also I have gotten reports that sometimes the server thigns that there are more clients conencted to it than there really are (ie. it will only allow one lotatc console to connect)

Those of you interested in this mod might enjoy this link:

http://www.atcmonitor.com

It's a near real-time En Route Air Traffic Control radio and radar data for the Atlanta Macey Arrival servicing the Atlanta Hartsfield Intl Airport.

It's most interesting when there is stormy weather in the airport vicinity.

It also has links to other live ATC sites including tower operations.

I have been trying v0.92. VERY GOOD! :D

Okay ... guess what ... yes, a feature.

But this one should be easy :)

Add 4 more TS channels :)

Believe it or not, it's very easy to have 4+ flights, esp. in a big game like CAW.

Eventually, terrain masking might be nice.

I also had another idea: Yuo could get the mission file before the mission is run to set up the radars - because you have their coordinates, you can attach the views to the correct radars later (because you can compare coordinates)

In this case, it will be possible to assign individual ranges to 'destroyable' radars instead of having them all the same :)

Im not sure if this has been made possible or not. But any chance there could be a feature where you can import background images into the LOTATC?

For instance, if one radar is setup as airport ground radar (for taxing and airport ground operations) it would be cool if there was a background that could be loaded up with the exact airport schematics. This could also be used for creating air corridors etc. (i know you can draw these yourself in lotatc and then save em but drawing an airport schematics in LOTATC for instance is a bit impossible).

Wonderful app!! the feature that you can assign callsigns is fantastic! that allows attaching aircraft types aswell! Great job with the app!!

Brothers31,about 'free move'.

I think this feature may have been misinterpreted, but I don't know :)

I would like to amke a couple of comments about it:

1. It should only show contacts that the radars you are able to use can 'see', and no other contacts. Maybe it already works this way, I have not tested :(

2. Also, it would be nice if without 'free move' there was a feature to 'zoom in' on an area that your assigned radar can see (ie. within the range that you have assigned to this radar) to help you to better see contacts in that area. This zoom should have just a few fixed levels, with 50km being the smallest, 100km being the largest.

About the 'drawing on the map' feature: It's very good!

Is there a way to draw discontinuous segments? Specifically we would like to draw a grid on the map, with grid labels - the labels, because they are text, may cause some problems.

Also, is it possible to delete lines? That would be useful.

I have tested the other features and they all work very well! I see that you have by default decreased ATC radar view to 30nm or so. Very cool :D

The ability to add callsigns is also very good.

I jsut wonder, why do they show up in the TS channel area? :)

One minor bug: Speed seems to show up in metric units only.

No, this option permit to move everywhere on the map.

in fact, i don't find a simple solution for this. But one day perhaps :p

Yes, each time you switch to off the drawing is save. Just switch on to start a new segment.( you can add unlimited draw)

To delete line, swich to ON ( if you are not already in drawing mode) and then ctrl+z ;)

I understand; it would be useful if there was an option included to only show data that belongs to the radars assigned to that side though. You know what I mean? :)

Ok that is a good feature :)

I think thereis a small bug with it, but I may be wrong ... when I try to pu tin callsign 'Cobra 1-1' it displays 'Cobra 1-11'. Does it auto-number?

perhaps yes :icon_redf

A few "bugs" or should i say things that seem not that good.

1. When two aircraft are flying really close to each other (in formation), the info which is displayed of the aircraft are overlapped. Its extremely hard to read what the info is when its overlapped. Any chance that info could be "dragged" away from the aircraft, or that when the info button (in the controls) is not "active", and you press the aircraft, it would only show that aircrafts information? Other improvements would be that there would be two different levels of info, one which would only show the callsign and second which shows the rest of the information.

2. It would be really great to have a airport diagram when you are zoomed into the airport. So, if I zoom into the airport (less than 5nm) I should be able to see the different taxiways and runways etc. It would also be nice to see the aircraft on the ground (like a ground radar) so that aircraft can be controlled and directed on the ground.

These have been just some notes and observations experienced while practicing using this program for CAW (Campaign AirWars).

Thanks again for a great program!

Brothers31, can we make sure that contacts which are out of range for friendly radars are dropped?

Ie. when a contact leaves the coverage of a friendly radar, it is still 'displayed', ie. if you could see the entire ma it would still be there.

It would be best if a contact which leaves range of friendly radar(s) is dropped. A contact should be maintained if it moves from the coverage area of one friendly radar to another.
