JIMJAM Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 Great fun and by as* is sore from sitting so long :pilotfly: Some MSC questions I have ran into and need some answers. I am using GAME mode with realistic flight model. What are the keys to cycle ground targets forwards and back? Especially back which if there is alot of targets can take a long time. I find myself going through all the targets just to see the one I think I am targeting. Which ties into.. Whats the view target key? I currently watch the bombs fall but I want to see the specific target I have locked. Is there a key or switch to zoom in/out the mfd maverick screen? Would make identifying the targets easier. [game mode] When using the editor and starting mission on ground I have began inside a hanger with the doors closed. How do I open them? I still cannot use my Saitek rudders to properly operate the toe brakes. I was told to edit out the axis which was flipping the plane. I did that now I have no brakes that I can tell. Thanks ahead of time. Thats it for now until I begin another marathon A-10 session.
shawnyp420 Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 I have the same question. How do I set the editor with my A-10 to start inside a hanger, and how do I open the doors? I've seen videos of this on YouTube but they don't explain... AMD Ryzen 5 3600, ASUS X570-PLUS, NVidia RTX 2080, 32GB DDR4 @2400MHz, Samsung 850 EVO 250GB, Corsair H100i cooler, Oculus Rift S.
jazjar Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 O.K. shawnyp420, you first ( simplest question :) to start in a hangar, you set "start on ramp" in the ME, then for most airfields, you should have a box, labeled "parking" on the left hand side of the screen. It is a drop-down, and you can select a number, this # will dictate where you start, and you can experiment around with this to find the hangar. Some hangars are bugged and won't open, but usually they open right at the start of the mission if there is an aircraft inside of them. alright JIMJAM, F7 is the key to watch ground targets, you can't cycle forward of back, only forward. I know for a fact in SIM mode zoom in/out on the Mavs is china hat forward short, not sure on game mode. I don't have rudders so I can't help you with the pedals. hope that all helps, JAZJAR [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
kylania Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 To pick a specific unit on the ground, click on it from the F10 map, then press F7 and your camera will start with that unit. Hanger doors should open as soon as you unpause at the start. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Christmas Cheer - A Landing Practice Mission : Beta Paint Schemes : HOTAS Keyboard Map : Bingo Fuel - A DCS A-10C Movie
Tone71 Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 (edited) JIMJAM, if you go into Options -> Controls and select A-10C Game from the drop-down, you can see a list of key commands used for Game mode. I think you need B for lock centre ground target, then N and M for previous and next. To select the right mfcd you need to press and hold the K key until a thin green box outlines the mfcd screen; then it's V to toggle zoom in and out (or Home and End if you're on the TGP screen). I don't think there's any quick way to select target view, other then F7, then keep pressing until you spot your target (in game mode it will be overlaid with a funny curved symbol, as well as the diamond symbol); pressing Left Ctrl + Page Up or Left Ctrl + Page Down changes the direction of the object selection.
