GunnDawg Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 So as some of you have probably noticed I have posted in here quite a bit asking questions about various things. Well between your guys replies, reading the manual, and trial and error I have gone from (this morning) hardly being able to fire a maverick (mostly got lucky), to (tonight) being quite proficient using the TGP to better lock up the MAV's, to also being able to successfully drop the GBU-12's and hit target, to being able to drop JDAMS!!! I must say thats quite a bit of accomplishment for me in one day! Sure there is room for improvement across the whole spectrum but in one training grounds mission I was able to take off, get a GAU run in, in conjunction with simultaneous rockets to score a few kills, came back around for a 2nd pass and de-railed a JDAM on target to net 3 kills!, and the story goes on. More passes, more kills until I was winchester. To top it off as a bonus I even managed to RTB for a successful landing. Sorry for the long post, I am just a bit excited to finally be catching on. I will post the track if anyone is interested.
GunnDawg Posted October 15, 2010 Author Posted October 15, 2010 I am trying to think about how to do that. Just slew the TGP to a diff target after you release your first JDAM and pickle right away ?

tusler Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 Track Please I would love a track showing setting up the Mav, getting a lock and fireing. I printed the manual and am reading it till I am blue, the manual seems to say different than what the training sortie shows to do. I got the thing blinking once but could not get anything to launch. Some of us are going to need a much better version of training than what this has now:noexpression: A track showing the process from beginning to end would help me a lot:helpsmilie: Thanks Ask Jesus for Forgiveness before you takeoff :pilotfly:! GunnDawg Posted October 15, 2010 Author Posted October 15, 2010 Here is the link to the track: http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=97537919586799795997 Keep in mind that the Maverick action is near the end of the track. The beginning consists of GAU and rocket runs, JDAM's, and GBU-12's I am not an expert and I have probably made several of mistakes.

GunnDawg Posted October 15, 2010 Author Posted October 15, 2010 Woohoo! I cant believe it. After just 3 tries I finally got 2 JDAMS off the rail and on target all in one pass!!!!!!! Here is the track for anyone interested: http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=04958972171462617556
GunnDawg Posted October 15, 2010 Author Posted October 15, 2010 Weird I just watched my own track of the multiple JDAM release and the track must be bugged. When I watched it no weapons came off the rail, strange. Oh well at least I know I was able to do it :)
Arclight Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 Same here, releasing JDAM breaks track; nothing comes off the rail and the plane ends up flying into the ground eventually. Congratulations on the sorties. Is nice when it all comes together. ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] DCS A-10C: putting the 'art' into 'warthog'. (yes, corny. Sorry.)
Bulletstop Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 Congrats, it is an awesome feeling. power5 Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 Yeah, I had similar problem last night. Flew a successful mission with mavs and jdams and went back to watch it and I flew into the ground halfway through the mission. Time to download and start using FRAPS I guess. Kaiza Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 \ Well between your guys replies, reading the manual, and trial and error What! Not to mention hours of asking Kaiza questions on MSN! SirWoofer Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 Replays are still borked same as in KA-50 and FC2. I've had several great Mav runs, but the replays show me crashing into the ground:mad: I sure hope they fix in the final release!
GunnDawg Posted October 15, 2010 Author Posted October 15, 2010 What! Not to mention hours of asking Kaiza questions on MSN! Ah yes of course, my bad :)
