S77th-GOYA Posted May 22, 2005 Posted May 22, 2005 That monster a/c firing a 50 year old missle. Also note the markings on the vert stabs. http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/aircraft/f-22.htm
GGTharos Posted May 22, 2005 Posted May 22, 2005 ED? Hahahah :D That F-22 BTW is a prototype, so firing an AIM-9M (I think that's a Mike) is not very surprising. Note how the X has smaller fins, likely to fix intot he bays better; also, it uses an FPA which was actually used on stingers first (either the same or similar) which IMHO makes the stinger that much more scary now. If you look closely at the wings there's also a differencebetween the prototype and production model as well, and I believe the nose went through some changes also. sullione Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 Why are you guys trying to remind me of the craphole that I just left. j/k, it wasn't all bad, just 95% of it.
Prophet_169th Posted May 24, 2005 Posted May 24, 2005 The AIM-9X, as with the 120C, fins have been reduced I believe to specifically fit in the F22.
