Source Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 I'm going to purchase my first joystick soon, but I'm having a hard time deciding which one to buy. My budget is only $40, so I'm thinking about buying either the T.1600m or the Logitech extreme 3D pro. If anyone has experience with these 2 joysticks please tell me how they compare, and if there are better joysticks around the same price please list them.
PoleCat Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 I have no experience with either of these. At 40 bucks it will be tough to get something decent but perhaps others here can advise you on the better of the two choices you have. I would advise you to put this money towards something better if you are going to be flight simming for some time to come. For a good enthusiast setup you will need a decent PC HOTAS (Cougar, CH. Saitek, Warthog, X-52 etc)and a TIR. Best of luck! Out http://www.104thphoenix.com/
kylania Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 Welcome to the forums Source! Two sub-$40 joysticks I've had good luck with have been the Logitech Attack 3 or the Logitech Extreme 3D. Oceandar Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Do not buy Logitech joysticks !! They won't last long. I have two of them both suffering from the same problems, erratic movement and centering problem. Go for Saitek, thrusmaster or whatever. Just Google it if you don't trust me, you'd find alot of complaining people about Logitech joystick. Mastering others is strength. Mastering yourself is true power. - Lao Tze
Poor mans sniper Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 The Thrustmaster T-flight HOTAS X is a good one, although it does have some programming issues in FC2.
LawnDart Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 T.16000M uses the H.E.A.R.T technology also found in the HOTAS Warthog. Joe Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Definitely T.16000M. It uses the same hall sensor as the $500 HOTAS Warthog, as LawnDart says. It is also programmable in T.A.R.G.E.T., giving you 6-layer capability in a $30 stick, something that has never been possible before. SimHQ Technology Editor TSH member
