New Beta 2 campaign crashes in 1st mission

New campaign crashes in the first mission. It looks like a memory leak. Smooth at first than more and more choppy.

 

After engines start up, which i use about 3-4 mins on, i taxi to runway and i always end up as plane number 3 in the que and AI never continue out to runway for take off. This leaves me stuck in que due to 4th plane always coming in behind me.

I tried waiting but nothing happens and the game eventually crashes with no error msg.

 

 

Clean beta install and it happens every time. Tried 4 times.

Same experience.

 

Did start the mission by taking taxiway halfway down runway and taking off from there. Then your wingman will go and then the AI's. Extremely choppy, in air fps 3, then crash eventually.

 

All buildings in towns show black, only show texture when I am very close to them. I've only seen it in this mission and hideout mission. Hideout mission is not as bad though but also has it. Didn't see it in other scenarios (yet).

 

I tried to see if I could recreate it but when I start a custom mission in tiblisi (?) it doesnt happen, set same weather as in campaign mission, didnt happen, dropped 100 AI on map, didnt happen. Couldn't yet reproduce it except by running those missions again.

Same experience on the airfield. 3rd in line at the hold. So i did back-track on the runway. my wingman followed when i was airborne. At the CP i made the contact to JTAC. My pilot made the request and after a few seconds my game crashed. the time between my request and the crash was about the time the JTAC needs to answere normally.

Did they change the keys that select options in the communications window? After tuning the frequencies, I can get the com window to pop up and all the selectons are white, but using the function keys F1-F12 wont select any of the options.

Exact same problem as OP. Must be a WIP.

The airbase is AWESOME though - During Taxi I really felt immersed because of the structures; their textures are incredible.

I will have to report the German pilot who ran right in to me though while in the queue!

Yup - this does happen sometimes. I think it is a bug. If you search the forum you may find more information on this.

On the other hand I managed to play the first missions on the other 2 campaigns.

Which is the new campaign? I just started trying the campaign missions and had a very choppy/multiple CTD on the first mission of the Devil's Cross campaign? Is this the same mission or a different one?

Same for me, but I was 5th or 6th in line. :) Seemed really neat having to taxi in line like that.

 

This was the Devil's Cross Campaign, first mission.

 

Just tried Georgian Hammer's first mission and that crashed too. I'd just overflown the first area with enemies, been hit and was turning around when everything got quiet then crash.
