Shadow060 Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 So I just opened up the first mission in the new Campaign, and while reading the briefing I saw that 2nd Bde "BlackJack", 1st Cavalary Division was the friendly units, as with it's subbordinate Battalions! See I was a member of the "BlackJack"Brigade, specifically in 1-5 Cav "Black Knights", and part of D Troop (BRT), 9th Cavalry Regiment "Darkhorse". The BRT (Brigade Recon Troop) were the Recon Assets for the entire Brigade, and would generally be out in front or to the flanks running screens or doing other various missions. I spent most of my time in Iraq as a "Darkhorse", but spent alot of time as a "Black Knight" prior to going overseas. Thanks for the attention to detail and getting those units in there...It's be great to use "Darkhorse" Troops as a JTAC, Recon Element, or Forward element in contact, as that is how it really happened in the not so distant past. Either way...great product guys...Just Awesome! 3
Bahger Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 This is very interesting to a mil-tac geek like myself. Thank you for your service. I did not realise that a Campaign was up and running in Beta 02, I had assumed it was WIP, not implemented yet. I will try this Campaign just to move your buddies around the map (and provide CAS, of course).
Woots Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 Thanks for serving Shadow060! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
