Im knew to DCSa10C so bear with me, but why is throttle backing down at times without any input from me(Im using a Cougar ATM)is this some kinda engine protection scheme in the sim?it happens in the training missions and the free flight missions and its annoying as hell I have not even tried any combat yet just trying to learn to fly it..............

Comes to mind, make sure there are no other controllers assigned to same axes. Can't recall what exacly, but i had a thing going when i moved aileron, the elevator would move a little too

Also before you start A10 check your controls calibration from within windows.

I was having problems and found the calibration was off in windows.

Sounds like the throttle axis is also assigned to a slider. :smilewink:

Im running win7 64 so no calibration of controllers in windows that I know of but the cougar software does allow it ,but I appreciate any and all answers, I just tried the training mission for take offs and it has stopped(for now) I did go thru all possible categories in the controller options and may have solved this issue (I hope)Im astounded with the complexity and fidelity of this sim(theres so much to learn)Thanx for your help

Controller calibration is still in Windows 7, just a pain to get to. Ultimately you need to get to the "game controllers settings" menu. I get there through the control panel-->hardware and sound-->devices and printers. Then right click on any joystick/etc. and select "game controllers settings". From there it's just like all the old versions of Windows. Personally, this is one place I feel like Windows 7 took a step backwards.

I had that issue and it was the Man Rng/ Uncage axis messing it up. I just went into A-10 and removed the double entry. Hope that helps if none of the other offerred solutions worked.
