Im just starting a campaign and i see there is a frequency for JTAC is that an option to use them to call out targets . Like can I decide to either just hunt down the targets or use JTAC if available to call targets to me. Im just curious how it works and where is the best place to get more info on JTAC.

If you see frequency that means they are implemented in some fashion. Depending on the mission, they may be available for those particular targets you're engaging and they may not.

Easy way to find out, tune your radio and then hit the comms menu for that frequency. If the JFAC/JTAC is there, then use them.

If you want realism, I would use the JTAC whenever it is present and your mission is CAS. Sometimes JTAC will be there for other flights and is not appropriate. For instance, in the 2nd campaign (Georgia Cross I think?) once of the missions is to drop a bridge. In this case, JTAC is useless and just let him work with other flights.

Revelation, I think you made some really good tutorials about setting up JTAC mission on YouTube... was that not you?

JTAC gets assigned enemy target groups in the mission editor. When you call JTAC up he'll give you one of those targets. Select a JTAC in the ME/MP sometime and just look where the dashed lines go.

Of course for a campaign mission the only tasking I get is a nice fat crash to desktop.
