Invisibull Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Hi All: I'm not sure if this is an issue or not, and it could very well be attributable to my specific setup. When I first get into the 3d world i can see a normal white mouse pointer icon in the center of the cockpit. If i move the mouse around a bit it will turn either green or an orangey color depending on what it's hovering over. The problem is that this pointer stays visible even when I'm not touching the mouse. As a long time Falcon 4 enthusiast, I'm used to the pointer icon disappearing a second or two after I've moved the mouse. I'm currently on a Samsung laptop, but using an external 24" ASUS monitor and external logitech mouse. Also, I use a Saitek X52 pro and a Trackir 5. I'd appreciate if anyone could point me in the right direction to resolving this issue as it's rather annoying having to keep moving the pointer icon out of the way to see what I'm doing. Thanks. i9 9900k - GTX 2080 Ti - MSI Z87 GD65 Mobo - 64GB HyperX Predator RGB DDR4 3200MHz - Win10 64 bit - TM Warthog w FSSB R3 mod - TrackIr 5.
104th_Crunch Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 The mouse does not dissapear in DCS. There is no dissapear after inactive for x seconds, although people like me have asked for this feature. Maybe it will still come. Please ED. Really such a small little thing but quite annoying. Little yellow cross sitting in the middle of my HUD or sensor that I am looking at. Thanks
Lixma 06 Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 It's how it is currently, unfortunately. +1 for disappearing cursors.
CarneyUK Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 +1, only coz it winds me up in DCSBS!! "The sky is not the limit.....it's my playground!!" @paraglidecass
Invisibull Posted November 18, 2010 Author Posted November 18, 2010 Thanks for your responses as disappointing as they turned out to be. It's pretty (un)immersive to see an orange cross floating out over the terrain or in front of the tgp scope. Here's hoping someone takes heed. i9 9900k - GTX 2080 Ti - MSI Z87 GD65 Mobo - 64GB HyperX Predator RGB DDR4 3200MHz - Win10 64 bit - TM Warthog w FSSB R3 mod - TrackIr 5.
kylania Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Brush the mouse aside, problem solved. Or use the Warthog controller and never have to mouse click the TGP, even less so with the Cougar MFDs. Pizzicato Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 +1 for also wanting the cursor to time out after a few moments.
