Locked view down on the instrument panel and flew around under the hood. The smooth gauges and controls made this the best IFR experience I have had in a sim bar none.

In the true spirit of St Loius then ! :)

instrument flight rules is something I have not done yet as still having trim issues! I guess your flight model is 100%

There are old pilots, there are bold pilots, but there are no old, bold pilots.

Very much so - this is an excellent basic IFR trainer. I'm having so much fun flying around in the soup. I only wish we had an ADF able to tune the locators at the airfields... and which displayed the normal erratic behaviour.

I find it's a tricky plane to fly IMC, as it is anything but stable and requires constant attention or it will wander off. Haven't tried without turbulence though, now that I think about it...

It's nice isn't it? The only thing that bothers me a little bit is the slight delay between stick input and seeing the results on the ADI. The ADI lag makes it harder to make corrections accurately.

"It's not the years, honey. It's the mileage..."

Not something I have noticed? Do you mean there's a lag between the aircraft pitching and the AI reacting? Not the normal lag between stick and aircraft?

Why are you using the ADI when there is a perfectly good HUD in front of you?
