Cyborg X POS or am I missing something?(can't calibratge stick)

I just bought a Saitek Cyborg X from best buy. I have an X52 at home but I work 24 hour shifts and sometimes am actually stuck at work for 3 to 5 days straight. So I was wanting something portable and I saw this and thought it would be great since you could break the stick down.

 

The problem I'm having is that I can not for the life of me get this thing to calibrate center. I have tried everything I could search for from deleting registry keys, reinstalling drivers, unplugging and replugging and even a program DXTweaK2 that allows you to compensate for improper calibration of sticks.

 

Well first off this things brand new out of the box I shouldnt have theses problems to begin with and second even though I've tried to resolve the problem myself it all been in vain.

 

When I go to control panel hardware etc. I can bring up the controller properties but it doesnt have the option to reset the stick to center.

 

If anyones got any Idea to whats going on with this let me know cause its on the fast track to the return bin if i cant fix the problem.

Could you try it on a different pc, to make sure the problem is not in the joystick, but in the pc? (or the other way around obviously :P ) If it's the joystick: swap it for a new one (it's warrenty).

Cyborg X is a POS. Worst joystick I have ever used as the stick shaft bends before the gimbals move!
