Need Help With In-Game Weapons

Hi. I'm Having Trouble With Lock On FC2. I Just Got The Saitek X52, And Lock On FC2. The Problem I'm Having Is That I Can't Fire My Missles, But I Can Fire My Cannon. I Pressed The Change Weapon Key's, And Tried Changing The Firing Mode. That Didn't Work. I Tried Changing The Controls. That Didn't Work Either.

 

One Thing I'm Not Sure About Is If You Need To Be Locked On To Fire A Missle. I Never Really Managed To Get Locked On Considering The Fact That I'm New To The Game. If You Do Need To Get Locked On, Please Tell Me.

 

Can Someone Tell Me How To Fix This?

I Don't Want To Use The Keyboard To Fire. I Want To Use The Joystick.

You can use the options screen to map buttons to your joystick. Just map whatever you want to whichever button you want (but don't do doubles).

Another option is to use your Saitek SST software and assign those keyboard commands to a button on the stick. For example, in FC2 I have nothing mapped for the joystick itself, rather my profiler for the stick has the Weapons Release button (the one under the flip cover) mapped to Space+RAlt.

What's not working? you can't fire any weapon, US weapons...what? For the missiles to fire you have to hold down the button for 1-2 seconds.

In Russian aircrafts, lock your enemy, wait for Launch Authorization (this you can override) and hold the fire button pressed for 1 second. Some missiles can be fired without getting a lock and with the Launch override.
