Bahger Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Unless I'm wrong about this, the TGP is not quite the game-changer at night that it is in daylight. It's worth carrying Mavericks just for the IR video.
Nate--IRL-- Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Tried the Black hot and White hot modes of the TGP FLIR? Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
Bahger Posted December 10, 2010 Author Posted December 10, 2010 I was baffled by that, Nate, because while the manual (pg 317/318) shows where the sensor type indication is (in the top right hand corner of the TGP display), I cannot find any info on how to change it. The TGP CNTRL page has a rotary control but the manual says FLIR integration (INT HOT/COLD), rotary OSB 16. This function allows you to select between Hot and Cold FLIR integration settings. However, this function is not functional. The rotary can be used to select between: INIT HOT INIT COLD I haven't fiddled with it because "this function is not functional". Have I missed something obvious?
Frederf Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 Change it with the boat switch. The "INT" means "integration" which combines visual and FLIR images. This doesn't work in DCS. 1
Absolution Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 Starting on page 84 of the manual there are tables that describe each function of every HOTAS button depending on your SOI. I found it incredibly helpful for a quick reference.
