TonyP Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 Looking thru the manual ppg. 167-244, is getting mind-numbing to me. Is there a "cheat-sheet" or "lite" version that one can use and maybe refer to the manual for a more detailed explanation. Sure will help my brain-cells.:book:
Dethmagnetic Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 Some more info about the CDU and its pages is here... still a work in progress though. CrashEd Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 (edited) Rather than try to learn it verbatim, I found it more productive to try to create missions that would use various functions of the CDU. My advice: read though all of the pages, no matter how dry it may be. Then create some missions that will help you use certain functions of the CDU. For example, the 'Smerch Hunt' mission will teach you how to input JTAC coordinates if you have done your homework. Then re-read the CDU section again. This will reinforce what you have learnt and you will be more familiar with the terminology. That's how I did it but ymmv! No cheat sheet, you just have to 'want' to learn it. You have to think 'how do i do...' then find the solution to that particular problem. Good luck. Edited December 11, 2010 by CrashEd
Bahger Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 Does Smerch Hunt still work? It's a Nevada mission, isn't it?
CrashEd Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 Nope, it's not in Nevada. I have no idea in Beta 3 as I'm not using it ;) Like I said, best to create your own, particularly if you're running b3.

element1108 Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 A-10C is the NEW girl who walks into class mid semester. She's pretty, maybe not the prettiest , but she's captured the attention of EVERY SINGLE GUY in class for the next little while. The other pretty girls in class will have to get used to the fact male attention for them is going to take a bit of a dip for awhile ;). Actually it's nothing like that, sim's and women shouldn't be compared I know. ;)
