urze Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 Here you can watch a video how it works : THG 13 -18mb ,3.18min it is self-describing,without speech. http://www.de.tomshardware.com/site/videos/thg_videos.html My beamer cost me about 90€(40€ for the overhead-projektor/ 40€ for a tft panel with brocken backlights) and a new lamp (400 W / 36 V) 16€. I will never watch a film in on tv again- and i can`t understand how you can spend 4000€ for a new beamer and about 300€ for a new lamp if it is so quite simpel and cheap to do it by your self. :D -enjoy! P.S.: http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=8904 maybe somone can help to fix my problem :) Leftside Limited - ideas and solutions

coldcrew Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 So.. after you build the unit how do you get the video from the PC to the projector? By directly connecting the LCD to the video card?

BIOLOG Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 Yeh, It's a nice way to get a projector... What kind of cooling are you using? 80mil fan with vents, or something different? The bird of Hermes is my name eating my wings to make me tame.

One of the attached fan to blow cool air under the tft-panel. With this sort of coolingfan you dont have to built an air duct. And it runs with 12V so you can make a bypass to the power sluppy from the tft. Leftside Limited - ideas and solutions
