Recently downloaded the A10 Beta4 and the install asked about 32bit files, which was a bit confusing, but I found some explanation of that in the forum. Since I have Win7-64 bit I decided not to install 32 bit files (so I'm running 64-bit - right?)

Now I've see in other threads that TrackIR won't run with the A10 64 bit version - this is really kind of a huge problem and I realize that it is on TrackIR to (hopefully) provide drivers that will work with the A10 in 64 bit; so what do I do? How is head movement in the A10 done without TrackIR?

Do I uninstall the current 64-bit and then reinstall using the 32-bit files. Has anyone done this yet? Are there any issues with doing this?

What are we missing out on by running the 32-bit A10 version as opposed to the 64-bit A10?

Thanks

I guess I must have been reading an old post about the 64-bit driver issue. I'll download and install the new one.

Ok, I have another TrackIR question: I use TrackIR 2 (yes, I know it's old and not 6 DOF). I found out in several forum posts how to get it running with my Win 7 64bit setup. I even get it recognized in the A10 game (running as 32 bit) and I assigned it to Absolute Camera Horizontal/Vertical View. But in the game there is still no head movement.

Is anybody else trying to get TrackIR 2 to work?

If you tell me 'forget it' - that would be another reason to buy TrackIR 4 or 5... btw: is there a noticeable difference between the two?

Thanks

A simple answer go for either 4 or 5. I love my 4 and I came from a 3 and it is so much smoother. I have a friend who had a 4 and went to a 5 and he speaks highly of it. If you can afford it upgrade and also get the trackclip pro. just one mans opinion.
