DayGlow Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Can you still hear other flights when they use the radio? Would I still have to tune to their frequency? "It takes a big man to admit he is wrong...I'm not a big man" Chevy Chase, Fletch Lives 5800X3D - 64gb ram - RTX3080 - Windows 11

mtuckner Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 I believe that you cannot hear other flights then. I could be wrong.
Frederf Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 I hear AI flights in campaign as they report passing certain waypoints.
nomdeplume Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 You'd still need to change the frequency. The easy radio simply adjusts the frequency whenever you select an option from the comms menu. The radio will then be left tuned to that frequency. It probably also automatically switches it to T/R mode if it's not already. So, if the AI flights are broadcasting on 132, you just need to send a message to someone who's also on 132. At that point, the appropriate radio will be auto-tuned to 132 and you'll be able to receive anything broadcast at that frequency. You should also be able to adjust the radio frequencies manually; just bear in mind that if you use the comms menu to transmit something, it will auto-tune the appropriate radio to the frequency the recipient is on.
