With the beta 4 (at least i didn't notice it in previous versions) update, my menu and "loading" screen fonts are distorted. I have graphics settings same as in BS (no problems there). Running 2x gtx 460's SLI'd...that mean anything? Any help is greatly appreciated....and 1680x1050 is a 16:10 aspect ratio monitor, right? Thanks! :helpsmilie:

I have noticed this as well although I am running the patch and not a fresh install. I have also tried to do an instant mission and it has crashed on me at the loading screen. Haven't really had a chance to try anything else at for the moment but maybe a fresh install of the full beta 4 might help? Don't know what you are running.

Yeah, I did the patch AND now I have done a clean install. Still getting the graphics distortions (noticed its in the mirrors too). I will make sure that my AA is application controlled; I did tinker with that a few weeks ago in the Nvidia control panel....I think this is going to be the solution.

Regardless, I'm getting a lot of crashes in B4. Can't load the default.lua to get my TW HOTAS back to defaults without a crash.

You aren't supposed load the default .lua. What you can to to reset your controls back to default is to delete Throttle - HOTAS Warthog.lua and Joystick - HOTAS Warthog.lua in Config\Input\Aircrafts\A-10C\joystick

Then on the next run of the program new, default, files will be created for your HOTAS.

Nate, tried that, but now all kinds of anomalies have popped up in the options>controller tab. Everything is responding, but not as default by any means. (I really want to get my warthog back to plug n' play with A-10!) Thanks for any further insight.

Frankly, the button presses are registering completely wrong. i.e., the slew control button press (not axis') registers as "Gun Trigger". Other buttons/switches not mapped at all. Of note also, the columns for joystick-HOTAS & throttle-HOTAS do not have much listed as mapped to them. Naturally, the keyboard column is fully mapped/normal. What do you think?

Upon going back to the "joystick" folder to place your files, I noticed that DCS didn't write any new HOTAS warthog the last two times I have launched the game (after I deletd the two files per your instructions). I know the game should have upon first launch. Hopefully your files will fix this. Thanks for sticking with me here.

The screenshot shows the joystick folder prior to pasting your two files. joystic_folder.jpg

Since I don't have a HOTAS WH myself I think I've misunderstood how DCS handles it. It seem to me like that DCS does not create new Default files specifically for the warthog, like it does with other joysticks.

The Plug and play for the WH is achieved by the two files I mistakenly asked you to delete.

If I had to guess, I'd say that by modifying the in game warthog assignments you are directly modifying these two files. Therefore it is not possible to revert to the defaults unless you have a backup of the original files.

Let me know how you get on with the files I gave you.

Nate, the files restored things to default...so far, so good. Is it normal for the trim hat/POV to be dually mapped as trim/view? That's what was listed in-game keymap; I use track IR so I deleted the view mapping.

I'm not sure to be honest, but having dual assignments sounds odd to me. Glad to hear it is back to default for you now, be sure to keep a copy of those two files if you intend on changing things in the future.

Yeah the default mapping for the trim hat is POV control; and with the Right Control key as a modifer it's also used for trim. It'd be really nice if the game could detect the presence of TrackIR and only map if it for Trim if it's present. I imagine a lot of people with a $500 HOTAS also have TrackIR. :)

got the same font issue in menus. Running beta 3 + patch 4 , GTX570+ latest nvidias

Go to Nvidia control panel and make sure AA is application controlled...fixed me right up.
