Hello everyone!!

My question is quick & easy. I'm struggling with CDU and markpoints and I wonder if there is any way to show all markpoints in TAD. Right now I'm only able to see in TAD page the markpoint selected as steerpoint.

I've thought in making a new flight plan with all markpoints, but It should exist an easier way to see all markpoints altogether.

Regards!

According to the manual, the TAD will only show flight plan steerpoints.

So no way, except if I'm in the mood of generate a new flight plan among all my markpoints.

Thanks you! +1 rep

You can alternatively do what I usually do.

My original "Steerpoint" flight plan is usually #1. In a rich target area and tasked with JDAM's I usually create a secondary flight plan. Add all my "target" markpoints (taken from the TGP) into the flight plan in the sequence I intend to engage them. Once over the combat zone and before initiating the engagement I switch my active flight plan from #1 to #2 and then I am able to see all the targets I marked in my TAD as steerpoints. This method is also usuful to quickly switch between targets (Slave TGP to Steerpoint, make HUD SOI and DMS UP/DOWN short to cycle between targets).

If you need a full rundown on the procedures of setting up an alternative flight plan and setting up markpoints, I suggest you watch ExcessiveHeadspace excellent video

Actually its very simple. After you have created your markpoints, simply switch the dial on the cdu from flightplan to markpoint and your TAD instantly does exactly that. No need to create another flight plan unless you want to. Changing waypoints will now cycle through your created markpoints. Just turn the dial back to flight plan when you want to switch back to your original flight plan.

I know, but TAD will only show you the markpoint selected as steerpoint, not ALL the markpoints you have created. This is awkward, specially in crowded areas with lot of targets and markpoints over them.

I knew Blub method, but it's more laborious and take some precious time to insert all markpoints in the flightplan. I must practise more then. Thank you!!!:)

And taking advantage of this post, and because I'm lazy today for opening another thread :P : Does someone know how to delete a markpoint?

Can't be done as far as I know, just keep adding until you reach markpoint 'Y' then you will start at 'A' again and over write.

If your markpoints or targets are sort of clustered in a small area, definitely go with just turning the dial from FP to Markpoint, but if you have targets fairy spread out and and you fence in from a reasonable distance.. say 15 to 20NM I would go with marking the targets then creating a new FP with markpoints A, B, etc.. as STP's and loading up a new flight plan. If you have to go defensive and lose SA having a FP there for you targets would be ideal.

I haven't tried this yet, but I don't see why you can't go into the FP and edit the FP that has your mark points since they are sequential. I'd understand by marking and turning the cdu mode to mark but if you create a flight plan with A,B,C. etc... and load that up then yo should be able to edit that FP.
