Nitro_74 Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 I'll give that a try, thanks. After making my selection to the 3GB option (figured out my mistake from earlier), I tried missions again with HIGH presets and my resolution at 1920 x 1200 and am now getting a flickering screen with the Pause/Break box open...and I can't make any selections. The flickering screen will either be the load splash screen or the cockpit. Each time I have to Ctrl+Alt+Del to get out, and the dcs.exe error box appears. Nate--IRL-- Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 Hmm OK, can you try again and attach DCS.Log, from the Warthog temp folder, to your next post? Oh and DXdiag output also please. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading

Nate--IRL-- Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 OK as I suspected Memory, or more specifically, 32bit memory addresses are the issue (see DCS.log). If you are using the 3GB switch for XP this shouldn't be happening. I am at a loss here. Could you check again that the /3GB switch in the Boot.ini is correct and is in fact being selected? Nate--IRL-- Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 Yeah that looks ok. I'm stumped, that fix usually works. All I can say then is to stay at medium for now and wait for the next release after Beta 4, it shouldn't be too long now. Also try things like using low Anti-Aliasing (say x2 or x4) that should save some more Video memory. Edit:- You could try a reinstall, but really the problem is a 32bit OS with Beta 4, it runs out of memory address space.
