ZoomBoy27 Posted June 12, 2005 Posted June 12, 2005 I'm working on a Su-25T multi-player missionpack derived mainly from my "Hold Back the AEF" campaign(+ a few missions from my "Adler Secured" campaign). It'll have a password for the standard options and each mission will have a RV point and 4x Su-25Ts How do people feel about using the Targeting Diamonds for multiplay? For the stationary Objectives I'll be using them, mostly. Let me know your experiences with them. SUBS17 Posted June 12, 2005 Posted June 12, 2005 I actually prefer to have the targets on the map but undesignated. But I'm very interested in any online missions. [sIGPIC] [/sIGPIC]
Weta43 Posted June 12, 2005 Posted June 12, 2005 Surely in real life if it's a stationary object (a building etc), then someone would have entered some co-ordinates into the navigation system & you'd have a diamond. Anything that moves you need your eyes. Cheers.
coldcrew Posted June 12, 2005 Posted June 12, 2005 I prefer diamonds with increased difficulty levels. Not every target on the map needs to be diamoned, like you can post a strela or two near the diamond target for anyone fixated by it. Imho diamonds make up for the lack of briefing most clients experience when they join a game and have no idea where the enemy is or what they are supposed to attack.

Anything that moves you need your eyes. In real life computers don't chase convoys, the target can only be designated while someone on the ground is painting it with a laser. The exception would be a UAV designating it, most other situations it could be grid coordinates from the map or a vector with description of where the target is. [sIGPIC] [/sIGPIC]
