MTFDarkEagle Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Just a question, I'm sneaking peaking for a decent rudder pedal set. Just a few quick questions: 1) Would you sell your pedals seperately? 2) Which version pedals are they? (type, connection etc) 3) If yes, how much would you like to have for it? 4) In what condition are they? Thanks, Lukas - "TIN TIN" - 9th Shrek Air Strike Squadron TIN TIN's Cockpit thread
wolfstone Posted January 19, 2011 Author Posted January 19, 2011 Hi ,they are simpeds game port type connect direct to the cougar. but i cannot sell them seperate as i want to sell it all to get enough to buy a new pair of rudders to go with my warthog hotas as this does not support game port. so at the moment i am using my cougar as a connection for them. if i could figure a way to get windows 7 to connect a game port i would keep them. so sorry link to simpeds http://www.dhs-electronic.de/index2.php?id=216&lng=en
MTFDarkEagle Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 Fair enough :) Thanks for the intel. Good luck selling them mate! Lukas - "TIN TIN" - 9th Shrek Air Strike Squadron TIN TIN's Cockpit thread
BulkaCv Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 You can buy cheapest joystick with 3 axes compatible with win7 and connect pots from pedals to pcb of that joystick and then mapped this axes to warthog
Krebs20 Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 Yeah. But they are simpeds. I wouldn't put a cheap pcb in them. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
BulkaCv Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 gameport dont need any pcb in pedals, in simply measure voltage and gameport change in itself usable to windows. When you put wires from pedals into cheap joysticks pcb in place of the pots. And this pcb will only change voltage from hall sensor in pedals to data usable to usb and win7
wolfstone Posted January 21, 2011 Author Posted January 21, 2011 way to technical for me , i was thinking of a game pert to usb converter but they dont work to well i heard..
sofie_59 Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 (edited) You can just connect the cougar base and the simped and you are good to go And keep the cougar for Black Shark! Simped and Warthog is one of the best setup you can have. wolfstone Posted January 22, 2011 Author Posted January 22, 2011 yeah thats what i am doing at the mo ment just seems a rather exspensive set of rudders LOL
Kuky Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 all you have to do is get some basic USB controller and connect the simpeds to it and you'll have them working in no time... it takes only few connections to solder and you'll be able to use the rudder pedals with anything PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
WarriorX Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 (edited) Just some friendly advise....I think you will regret selling your Cougar, if all you are selling it for is to get a set of pedals. By connecting to the Cougar base, you have an outstanding set of rudder pedals that you are used to and know work well. (look at all the trouble the new Saitek rudder pedals are having with the toe brakes) I have the same setup (except NXT instead of FCC) I look at it as I have the ability to switch back to the Cougar if the next best F16 sim comes around.
