G-TOMW Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 (edited) Hi, I get the following error message when i try to load the training missions. Am starting the program as an administrator. Can't allocate vertex buffer for 28290 vertices. Node: Lamp_02_First_Lod_base It then tells me the program has stopped working and Windows is looking for a solution and the program restarts. The instant action works Edited January 22, 2011 by G-TOMW further error found
MemphisBelle Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 (edited) Sounds like a problem of a 3D Model (vertices, LOD). May be a corruption while installation. Did you already reinstalled the game? Do not activate it again. Once it has been installed and activated it doesnt needed to be again after just a game reinstall. Also make sure to install as Admin (according to Win Vista and Win7). If you've partitioned your HD select a different place to install. Good luck @ moderators/Admins could you please fix that annoying apostrophe issue? you´ve Edited January 22, 2011 by MemphisBelle BlackSharkDen | BSD Discord | DCS Tutorial Collection
G-TOMW Posted January 22, 2011 Author Posted January 22, 2011 I've tried re-installing twice now. The second time I uninstalled I removed the folder created in Program Files as well. I have this error on training, missions and missions within campaigns. I can only fly Instant Action.

G-TOMW Posted January 23, 2011 Author Posted January 23, 2011 I have fixed this now, it appears to be a memory issue. I found elsewhere in this forum a fix adding a line in the CMD.exe file which solved the problem. Couldn't report it earlier as I lost my internet access.
Magnet_ Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 I'm having this same issue, can you re-post the fix in this thread so anyone with the same issue can resolve it? I'll try and look for the original solution in the mean time. Regards, Mag.
Magnet_ Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 I found the original fix: It sounds to me like you're having issues with memory management with the 32bit OS you're using. Could you give this a try? goto a DOS window by typing CMD into your "search programs and files" type bcdedit /set increaseuserva 3072 and press enter restart your PC and see if the texture losses/crashes still occur. edit: you may need to temporarily disable UAC for this to work Regards, Mag.
