yonyz Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Hi, I have never touched the EEG GG TEST buttons before, but now I have turned them on and, immediately, the right and left engine overspeed warning lamps were illuminated, and the voice warning said "rotor torque", whatever that means. All that while I'm still on the ground, preparing for takeoff. The throttle of both engines is set to automatic. Reducing it one level "solves" the problem, but then there's not enough electricity generated and the navigation system (HUD, Shkval) goes off. I can has help? :helpsmilie:
mvsgas Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 That is what the switch test, just place the switch back to center and the warning will go away To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Thank you for you patience. Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..
yonyz Posted January 25, 2011 Author Posted January 25, 2011 You know what's funny? I had that in mind right after posting the OP, when I saw the word "test" in the subject's title. *facepalm* 1
mvsgas Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Try it out it should fix the problem :D To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. yonyz Posted January 25, 2011 Author Posted January 25, 2011 I will. BTW, I assume your DDR3 memory is 1066mhz, not 10666. :D
mvsgas Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 (edited) I will. Yurgon Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 It appears you already figured out how to avoid/solve the problem. If you haven't done so already, go watch Leading Edge Training now. At around 39'38" the engines are running and the instructor comes to EEG GG RPM limiter and the power turbine overspeed protection. That'll most likely answer all the questions you'll ever have about these two switches. :-)
