client: Beta 4 64bit

controller: TM Warthog (not using TARGET)

On take off my hog keeps banking to the right irrespective of load , subsequently I have to make deep stick adjustment that just ain't right as well as affecting my post take off in cockpit procedures.

deadzone: 15

curvature: 12

Any ideas?

I don't know wether this is the same but I continually find that the aircraft starts off, either in the air or on the ground, with too much right aileron trim applied and I always have to trim to the left for balanced flight.

Thanks Loz

I think I read about the issue being a bug in beta 3?

Nice setup btw, I am getting a SSD soon.

Check your controller axis bindings, maybe some other controller is also providing aileron or rudder input. You can also use RCtrl+Enter in-game to see your control inputs, so you can make sure the game's not receiving any erroneous inputs.

If that's all okay, can you post a track, e.g. a runway start showing takeoff and how you correct the roll.

twobells I also run the Warthog without TARGET and this happens to me too. After I calibrated the warthog in Windows I'm pretty sure it helped reduce the problem. I noticed that the calibrated center appeared to be skewed to the right, I had never run a calibration prior because I didn't think it was necessary. After I ran through it, the center appeared more... centered and the roll on takeoff didn't happen after that, or just a little but definitely not as bad.

no it happens sometimes to me....i use hotas cougar...just trim it

Ah that's better, once I'd calibrated in windows (thanks y2kiah) it is much better.

Using right control enter allowed me confirm it was perfect (thanks nomdeplume)

thanks guys.

Depending on the ordinance and configuration a lot of times the aircraft will try to bank left. I just trim and be done, also I find as I release ordinance I have to retrim.

Does this happern just at take off or all the time depending on speed, aircraft configuration?

Do a calibration check.

Download TARGET and open the Script Editor, then click on Device Analyzer. Give your stick a wiggle (tee-hee!) and if it's centered properly you should see

X=32768 Y=32768.

If you see anything besides those numbers, your stick is out of cal, which I'm going to bet that it is.

Sooooo, go here:

And grab the calibration tools in that post.

My WH had the exact same problem as yours and it turned out that it was way out of cal. I had to contact TM and after about 30 emails they sent me the calibration tools. Why aren't they part of TARGET, or at least available on their website? I have no idea.

I tried Windows Device calibration and it didn't work at all for me, but the TM cal worked perfectly. I don't use TARGET either, except to verify my stick is still centered from time to time. It's useful in that regard because the Device Analyzer in the Script Editor gives you the exact readout in "bits". 0 to 65535. That's why you should see 32768 when you're hands-off the stick. Download TARGET for no other reason than this!

EDIT: BTW, there are separate Throttle and Stick tools in that thread.

Omg

You were 100% correct, both my axis were 300 points out.

I'll give it a go.

update: HUGE difference, thanks!
