How to delete Flight plans;Mark points ;S-points etc`????

In that case, the manual should be saying the L5,7,9 are used to delete or overwrite flight plan waypoints. In FPM mode, the right-side buttons open up the waypoint info but don't allow you to overwrite or remove the WP from the flight plan. You need to use the left side buttons for that.

I just flew the SMERCH hunt mission where I added a LOT of WPs to the FPM. How EXACTLY do you delete waypoints from the FPM? I tried the LSKs and CLEAR, but it did not work.

Thanks for the help!

It seems you need to use the CDU's CLR button, rather than the one on the UFC. I think that might be a bug.

This image sequence shows the process I'm using.

Im fairly new to the A-10 thing. Can anyone point me to a place where to learn about flightplans and markpoint management?

I mean i can use a Flightplan and i can use markpoints but currently i dont know how to set up a new flight plan and move markpoints to that plan and so on.

Create a new flight plan using the flight plan menu. Then just add your mark points in the order you want them. As you build the list it will add more empty spaces. I think it starts out with three empty ones if I remember correctly. Add mark points but just entering the letter in the CDU scratch pad.

Muchas Gracias for the description.

I havent had the time to test your instructions but im pretty sure they are working.

But im searching for a place where to study that CDU Unit further not just a single workflow.

It seems like you can do a lot with it but i havent found a decent source about that topic.

In the Manual there are a few articles spread out but no comprehensive manual just about that tool.

CDU is covered in the manual from page 173 to page 258. A lot of it isn't necessary to know. You can not delete mark points. I can't remember if you can delete flight plans. The CDU stores enough steering data that it's really not necessary to delete anything. You'll never use them all in a single flight.

Start with the manual. I'd suggest reading it while actually in the sim on the ground with the electronics all powered up since a lot of the descriptions in the manual don't make much sense without the actual CDU in front of you. I can't think of anything not covered in the manual that is particularly important.
