redbeard Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Does anyone with a ch pro throttle use this option for the throttle in the control manager while flying black shark? It seems like it would make more sense to use this mode and have a little bit of dead zone in the center so the throttle can act more like a collective. I've tried enabling it though and it doesn't seem to make much, if any difference. Do I have to do something in game as well?
104th_Crunch Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 I believe DCS does not give you to option to assign an axis with a center value of 0. Are you saying that real collectives have a center? I thought it was all the way down or up. Regardless, if this is what you are after go to the www.ch-hangar.com/ forums and ask there. You'll be able to do it with scripting with the CH Control Manager software and they have Bob there who gives way beyond average support.
redbeard Posted February 17, 2011 Author Posted February 17, 2011 Well "center" on a real collective ideally gives the blades enough pitch to maintain a given altitude, thanks for the help.
AlphaOneSix Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Real collectives don't have a center. The amount of collective required to maintain a certain altitude varies depending on numerous factors, so having a "center" doesn't make much sense.
