For those with slow torrent downloads...

i'm downloading at 300 kb/s too. strangely I'm uploading with 200 kb/s only, should be 600 (5 mbit upload). no speed limits set, ports open and working

Maybe I should've checked that, or maybe Virgin Media were throttling me. Oh well. I set the torrent to download at about 20:00 and it finished at around 08:00! I'll seed whenever I'm on and not needing the bandwidth. Should hopefully even be able to seed whenever I'm playing, as I don't think a torrent program should tax my CPU too much.

The great thing about Dubai is 24MB optic fibre internet and an ISP who doesn't yet know what traffic shaping / throttling is.

 

Just started uploading to torrent.

 

Awsome... :) our next house will have access to optic fibre as well. I wonder what the subscription will cost me to get 24MB hehe.

 

For now I will have to make due with my 30mb broadband. Not to bad but in theory I should be able to get 3.7mB/s with a 30 megabit connection. although with the torrents it last night I got between 80 kB and 1.7 MB max. on average around 500 kB/s.

 

Reading on the rest of the pages man... some of you guys are dealing with some slow speeds :/ hopefully it will work out for you!!

 

with speeds of 500kb/s on average I would go postal... Could be though that most of you actually mean kilobytes but write kilobits though. anyway I'm seeding as well. and as I write this I see we got 527 seeders right now :) So hopefully you will all be able to play this "game" pretty soon :)
