I'll stick to word of mouth, and seeding when I'm on the PC and not using the bandwidth. the torrent is on a different HDD to the sim itself, so that shouldn't affect access times.

I "owned" 1X HOG & 2X FC2

 

now to my case(!)

 

i let a Flying mate in my Virtual Sqdr. "remoted" my Comp. to fix some setting problem. few day later i my "Hog-Serail" logged from another side of the global. I complained to DCS-Support.

 

DCS-Support: in your case meaned that you have broken our Lisence Agreement and we will block now your serial! For you mean that like you never had one before.

 

............ i replied with a explation "How it could come..

 

DCS:

We ar sorry for not discc. about our Regulations, it help us to survive!

We shell participated you now as offender and shell blocked all your prchased Nr.! ( maybe there just wanted to be abit cynical from SupportTeam) Fact is my Hog.Nr. is now gone; 59$ i paid then for flying Beta(!) feel really exclusive Hog-Flyer ;) / My FC.Nr. are not blocked; there appologized for there cynic and explained me"only HOG" is effected in this case!

 

I now learn the hard way; and want to share my story. I not complain or asking anything. It`s ok..

 

Look at the brgithside of story is: 59$ to pay for quitting a friendship.. i shell be happy, if that not more! ;)

 

 

Btw. I owned a TM_WH & Combat Rudder just for fly this incredible HOG!

but now.. both are going to be sell.. and emotional am not yet really to buy or evne to fly HOG...for how long.. i don´t know.

 

Am a 14 yrs. honored Falconeer.. paid 1000 of money i hard & software.. and now this.. NOT easy for me..it gonna need time.

I think it's a very nice form of respect and loyalty.

 

I believe, to maximise the amount that ED themselves receive, the download version is optimal (Box copy and Steam (if it happens) will have a publisher / royalty model I imagine)

 

I also got 3 copies of BS , and I believe the admins from the 104th must have 20+ copies of BS and FC2 easily!

Maybe ED should make a Paypal link somewhere for people who want to give money to support them.

Because if you buy again the game through steam or the DVD version, I think there is less money to ED, and many for steam or your local shop.

With the download version, there is less money invested, it's "just" a file, a server and bandwith.
