Track IR 5 with latest beta software. I have the track clip pro.

Whenever I try and simulate looking down at my radio equipment it locks even in the track IR software the orange light goes off on the bottom right side.

It never did that before in the older version. I've moved the viewer it is centered fine... just can't seem to get it to work when you look down and left..

anyone else have this problem?

Is the TIR-unit still detecting your 3 LED's properly when you move your head in that position? Your mic-boom, your head, or even the position of your clip may prevent your TIR-unit to see three distinctive IR-sources, and then the tracking stops. Please check this in the TIR-software in camera view.

also make sure trackclippro is highlighted and not trackclip which is just above that one. It acts funky using trackclip function with trackclippro.

Yep it still sees it.. it just freezes everything in the software and the orange light goes off..

Like I said the only thing I changed was Windows 7 SP1 and the new A10, so I updated to the latest beta track IR software as well.

No positions of my chair or anything have taken place.. I'm centered and it can see the 3 little lights in the software. Just bizzare..

It does it sometimes and sometimes it doesnt..

Hi

I've noticed the same, it definately doesn't look down and to the left as well as the other direction, noticed it in black shark as well, their is an improvement if u move the led's away from your head and re-center, when u look down and to the left your head will mask the leds from the camera if it's to close.

and it sees the 3 little green lights in center of software box also?

Did you go from 32bit to 64bit trackir software? try unplugging camera, deinstall trackir, delete driver from device manager when it asks delete driver from hdd click yes, reinstall beta track ir and then plug back in the camera.

that way you are sure that the driver shipped with the latest beta is being used. I had some problems with that when going from 32bit to 64bit.

edit: maybe try and play with the light filter threshold. in the camera tab. But most importantly make sure the 3 lights are in the center of the box in the software. If your camera isnt precisely in front of you you can also input a camera angle. and if that all fails maybe make the profile a bit more sensitive so you don't have to turn your head all the way to the left. I at most have to turn my head 40 degrees to the left to be able to simulate that i'm looking over my shoulder in game. I also tweaked my profile more sensitive in the pitch down area. This is because I otherwise strain to look down. its much easier to look up than down so i tweaked that in.

I think it might have been the new software.. I removed the beta and did the normal software and it sorta seems ok.. I'm going to have to test it more. So far it hasn't done it.

Got an email back from support right away (those guys are good) to try a few things, but since i reverted back to a non beta version this is working fine now.

Yeah you are right.. it was working perfect in the track IR software but won't work in A10. I finally loaded it up. Damn.

I have to use the beta..

Actually- you might try it. From what I can tell- the uninstall process is not removing some ancient driver dated November 2009. It wreaked various forms of havoc on my track ir- Including but not limited to roughly your symptoms.

I'm in the TiR UI now- silky smooth and accurate.

I knew that the latest doohickey was installed when I brought up the TiR UI and it's in windowed mode- Before- it always opened up in full screen.

Exactly that's why I posted how to delete the old driver... But I don't know lonecrowe has tried what I posted. Think not though. We having been giving quite a few tips. Have you tried all of them or not?

REALLY REALLY try the correct install method: Unplug camera, deinstall trackir, delete driver from device manager (you might have to reinsert the trackir because it might not show up in device manager when unplugged) have it deleted from HDD and then reinstall trackir beta and then plug in camera.

Have you done this?

Let me throw on more thing out there that is pretty easy to test. ..Had the same problem with the new beta software. I could not look down and to the left to see those panels, it would hang there or just jump around. Was making me crazy.

What I did is moved the camera to the left of center by 5 to 6 inches. In the camera view, the three green dots are now all to the left of center line on the grid. I also turned the speed up by one. Now everything is working proper and smooth, left and right side.
