wickedfastball Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 DCS: A-10 is using a "new and improved" user data system from Microsoft. More secure, better experience, blah, blah, blah. I have not found a way to redirect only the screenshot directory. However, you can move the entire "Saved Games" folder elsewhere by navigating to the folder (C:\Users\<username>), right-clicking "Saved Games", and select "Properties". From there go to the "Location" tab and click the "Move..." button. You'll want to have it move the files for you. I wouldn't move this to the DCS folder, though. This folder will be the storage location for all games that use this "feature" of Windows. I moved mine to my "data" drive that has version control and backup in case something gets borked.
STP Dragon Posted March 1, 2011 Author Posted March 1, 2011 Hm... Thank you for this "work arround". But this is not the solution I want. There have to be a file you can edit to save the Screenshots and Missions directly in the installation directory of DCS... DTWD Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 What would happen if you created your custom screen shot directory named exactly what the old one is, then renamed the default screen shots directory and placed a folder short cut in the same location. Would A10 follow the shortcut? Long shot I know, but I don't have the game so it's difficult for me to help. Regards [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

tusler Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 By the way .. I just can't find DCS A-10C screenshot folder in the final release anyway ... can somebody guide me there please ? Griffin-185th Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 In the 32 bit XP version it is C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS A-10C\ScreenShots Problem is that when I press the screenshot button and I get that bit of a stutter as it saves it, the file goes off into the ether. My screenshot folder is empty. Nor do I have a DCS A-10C folder in my user directory. Is this right? tusler Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 I am not sure, but it looks like Win 7 is suppose to have stuff in the \user directory for sure. You might want to do a uninstall, delete the folders and then do a complete reinstall. Ask Jesus for Forgiveness before you takeoff :pilotfly:!
