Sn8ke Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 Not sure what it is from, but when in the cockpit view, I have a very subtle, yet slight flickering that almost apears to be more of a wavy horizontal bottom to top of screen motion. I have windows 7 64, nvidia 580 gtx. Asus Prime Gaming Wifi7 // Intel 14900K @5.5GHz // 64Gb DDR5 6000MHz // 3090 RTX // 4TB Samsung NVME M.2
Nate--IRL-- Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 Most likely vsync is off, edit graphics.cfg to read vsync=1 Edit - vsync in the options menu is broken Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
Sn8ke Posted March 2, 2011 Author Posted March 2, 2011 Thanks nate I will give it a try Asus Prime Gaming Wifi7 // Intel 14900K @5.5GHz // 64Gb DDR5 6000MHz // 3090 RTX // 4TB Samsung NVME M.2
Apples Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 (edited) Most likely vsync is off, edit graphics.cfg to read vsync=1 Edit - vsync in the options menu is broken Nate Hmm i dont see VSYNC in the graphics.cfg. I see SYNC under display mode. Also is there a setting to increase View distance farther? When i zoom in its ok, but zooming out makes thing look blurred at far distance. Sn8ke Posted March 2, 2011 Author Posted March 2, 2011 Didn't work. Can't be my video card because it is brand new, not overclocked, and it works well with other games. It does the same thing in Microsoft FSX, only in the cockpit view just like the A-10. I'm surfing the internet to see if it may be an issue with my monitor. Nate--IRL-- Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 David it is almost certainly Vsync, As apples has correctly pointed out, the entry is SYNC not VSYNC in graphics.cfg, my mistake. Apples, as far as changing draw distances, things may have changed since Black shark since I last fiddled with it, but I think Graphics.cfg still controls this. See lines 210 to 250. Backup FIRST. Sn8ke Posted March 3, 2011 Author Posted March 3, 2011 You're right. Basically, my computer is alot faster than the 60hz refresh rate of my LCD monitor. I was getting 75-80fps in cockpit with high settings, almost 20fps faster than my monitor could present on screen. thanks Asus Prime Gaming Wifi7 // Intel 14900K @5.5GHz // 64Gb DDR5 6000MHz // 3090 RTX // 4TB Samsung NVME M.2
