Devils cross 1st mission bug - no data, wrong coordinates?s

Hi everybody,

 

I have a question about first mission in devils cross..When i get in contact with JTAC on freq. 131 AM, and when i get 9 line, i am waiting for data but it never arrives..I have set up my group id and own id to "01". I dont see nor a red x or triangle, or i dont get any message on my datalink from JTAC (i click on right mfd on msg button, but there are no new messages).

Also i when I try to use coordinates provided by JTAC which are something like MM 17532..How to input them in my CDU - i mean which is the proper formating? I thought that it sould be something like MM 12345 12345 (10 digits, not 5 digits received from JTAC)?

Any help would be appritated..

Would it not be MM 17500 32000? I'm not sure but I think he may have dropped the 0 from the end of his coords. I usually receive 6 digits.

Those are UTM coords. Follow this explanation:

In order to enter the UTM coord in the CDU, you need to switch the OSB 9 on the right MFPS CDU repeater from L/L (Lat,Long) to UTM. With this switch, you can now create a new waypoint, with the MM141729 entered in the OSB 16 position.

 

EDIT: Also, number of digits must be even:

The dynamic JTAC script will provide coordinates in MGRS format, so you can input them directly by hitting the "L/L" button on the OSB to change it to MGRS/UTM format. Just be aware that they will drop leading 0s, and the CDU won't accept grids with an odd number of elements; usually just entering a 0 at the start will solve that.

Regarding the JTAC datalink. If you input group id and own id of 01 while on the ground, the game will reset it after you take off and you will have to set it again.
