When you plug in the throttle, the 5 LEDs will turn on until the device does its USB handshaking, then they turn off. (With latest firmware - earlier firmware they stayed on).

The main body LEDs are off until handshaking is completed, then they turn on.

When you use TARGET to change the on/off/brightness states, that only remains until the throttle loses power (ie power off reboot or unplug / replug).

There is no (to the best of my knowledge) way to "save" the LED configuration on the throttle or adjust the brightness without using TARGET (unlike the MFD panels which will let you tweak the brightness using the buttons)

It works exactly the same before, which the 5 LED stayed and they turn off once im in windows, but when the moment i go back to Firmware 18 and back to Firmware 20 it dosent work that way anymore, When i power on the throttle now the 5 Led Lights up for a second and goes off, and once in windows all other lights are on, Question is how can i get it back to the old state as you explained

The behavior is entirely determined by firmware, not target or anything else you can do.

Well...you could always not reboot. :) (seriously, I only reboot every month or two.) I use S3 sleep when I'm not using the computer so power use is nil...but it doesn't reboot the throttle so the lights stay however I had 'em set.

In fact, my script stays "running" in S3 sleep so when I come back to it I'm all set to fly....all, of course, assuming the throttle is plugged into a powered hub.

Not True, whatever I set my LEDS for in TARGET 1.0, regardless if I turn the PC off, or just reboot, it stays at what I set it at.

I dont use TARGET at all for anything other than the LED control, but as mentioned, if I set LEDS off in TARGET, then the LEDS stay off when pc is powered off completely or if I reboot, same with if I turn the LEDS on, apart from that I never use target for anything.

Although some people are having problems, probably due to the firmware not liking certain mobos, but I suspect the way that it works on my stick is how it is intended to work with everyone ? as it is working perfect for me fingers crossed it stays like that.

Hmmm... I can go into "Control LED state", check, uncheck, move the slider, do pretty much whatever I like and nothing happens. No amount of checking, moving, clicking "done" or whatever has any effect on the LEDs of my Warthog.

Anyone experiencing the same thing?

Oh, and they seriously need to get their act together with their software. We need a Foxy WH Edition. The trouble it is to reconfigure the WH is bordering on the ridiculous. Just spent quite some time setting all the DX buttons up as per default on the throttle to enable use of TARS via the MIC switch, pending TARS DX button compatibility. Of course this meant the WH Throttle showing up as a combined controller in the options and having to reconfigure everything in DCS.

(This is where someone steps in to tell me there's a way to achieve the same thing in 30 seconds flat ;))

effte, if I am reading your problem correctly, you were having problems getting TARS to see your MIC SWITCH UP as a DX button?

Well as you already know set the switches on the WH Throttle to default. The thing I had to do, which took a lot of trial and error, was change a setting in the USB Game Controllers menu.

To get to it, go to Start, then type in the search box "USB Game Controllers"

When the app pops up click on the Advanced button.

A window will pop up that let's you change the preferred device to use with older programs. Choose your HOTAS Warthog Throttle, and click OK.

You should now be able to have TARS see the DX buttons on your throttle.

Many motherboards still provide power to the USB ports even when they're "off" - that's why you can have a keyboard power-on. Thus, your throttle is never being "rebooted" even though your computer is.

That's why I suggested you physically unplug the throttle, wait 5 seconds, and plug it back in and see what happens.

Are you running firmware 18 or 20 in your throttle, and have you physically unplugged, paused, and replugged your throttle since installing TARGET 1.0?

when I got my new PC a few months ago it came installed with software that makes the USB ports stay powered up for recharging phones/ipods etc. Maybe you have something like this installed without knowing it?

I did a reinstall of Win7 anyway soon after it was deliverd so i cant remeber what it was called.
