I've been trying to learn how to re-arm after landing. I know I need to use the DTS page on the left MFD to load the new inventory into the DSMS. How do I get to the DTS page without shutting off the EGI, CDU, and CICU? I don't want to shut the airplane down. I want to hot pit refuel and rearm and head back out immediately. I have been digging through the manual for hours and can't find the button presses to get to the DTS page. HELP!!! :-)

Rearming is done via the intercom. You have to tell the ground crew. IIRC you also have to be in the right spot to do so.

To reach the LOAD page, you need to assign it to a page select OSB. To do that, press and hold any of the page select OSBs of either MFCD for longer than 2 seconds, then press the LOAD item on the page select page, then press the page select OSB that you want to assign the LOAD page to. After assigning, just press the LOAD page select OSB.

Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two.

When the ground crew says "Rearming complete", do the following on the left MFCD:

1) Press and hold the "dsms" button

2) Press the "load" button on the right side

3) Pres the "dsms" button

4) When the "load"-text appears above the "dsms" button press "load"

5) Press "load all"

6) Wait untill it loads the data, and when a star (*) appears on the left MFCD, the data are loaded

my problem is when i have shut down engines to re arm and refuel, I an unable to start them again. They start spooling up but never get revved up. My fuel is on; apu and etc. Any ideas?

Try purging them first. You need to set the ENG OPER switch to MOTOR with the Throttle in OFF position for 30 seconds. Then try to restart.

Thanks, I'll give that a try

you don't have to shut down to re-arm, re-fuel. You only shut down to repair.

Use ground power when repairing so you don't have to realign. Also, remember that as per the checklists, your engines need to be below 150c to start them (or you'll wreck your oil and hydraulic reservoirs).

Here's my turnaround method:

*After landing, refuel rearm while engines idle so they can cool

*Ask for ground power

!!!Make no changes to switches or configs, as they'll stay with ground power

*Shut down engines

-I like to spin up the APU

-Move 'Engine Operate Switch' from 'Normal' to 'Motor' for 30-60sec (allows engine to cool)

-Move the throttle behind the hump and turn the Engine Operate Switch to 'Normal' to stop it spinning

*Wait three minutes for repairs to occur

*After temps are good and repairs are complete start up APU (no no touch apu gen since you have ground power)

*Start up engines

-If your engines are still above 150c, you can use the Engine Operate Switch in motor to spin the engines and cool them down. This can only be done one engine at a time. Take note that the real proper way to start your engines under any circumstance is to spool them up using motor until a 30% rpm, move throttle over the hump, turn Engine Operate Switch from 'motor' to 'normal' and let the fire light. This starts them much cooler.

*Shut down APU

*Check Stat page on LMFD

*Remove ground power while watching stat page

*Take off

*pwn
