I have a Nvidia GTX 480 card and added a Geforce 6200 card to run the MFD's for the A-10 on. With the 6200 card installed but no monitor connected to it, everything is fine. If I connect any monitor to the 6200 card, the computer takes about a minute longer to log in. Then if I make any changes to resolution, screen positions, etc. all the screens go black. I have a mouse cursor but that's all. Same thing happens if I start DCS A-10 and then exit.

I've installed the latest nvidia drivers (266.58). I verified both card can use the same drivers too.

I'd appreciate some suggestions on things to try to figure out what's causing this.

I would have checked the Event Viewer, System and Application logs - to see if I had found any warning or errors realted to graphics, drivers or monitor.

Next, possible using the driver sweeper - uninstall the drivers - used the driver sweeper and reinstalled the drivers just to see if it made any difference.

Third, I might have check if it was enough power o the PSU (watts) to run the adapters.

Hm, thats about what I can think of ...

Nvida has made it posable for some of the older cards to be compatable with the new ones on the same driver. But you are limited to the 8800gt seires and up for compatabillty. also using two cards for DCS does not realy work very well. You are better off running both game screans on one card.

I put my 2 8800gt's in my box to run BS with 3 screens. Byt A-10c dosent run very well on the 8800gt. For some reason I get much better FPS in BS with the 8800gt's than the 465GTX. But If I add the 8800gt as a PHIS-X card for games that support it, WOW what a FPS booster.

What are you using for the MFCD's? a second monitor or do you have 2 smaller displays? Are they DVI, VGA or HDMI?
