Dudester22 Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 (edited) I have just install Mod man and I got an error message while installing it. I wasn't able to stop the installation and it has installed. This is the error message I got while installing it. "For windows 7 Mod may not work because Flaming Cliffs is installed in C:/program files directory. Install Flaming Cliffs in another root directory." As I said already, it does seem to have installed, but is it going to cause me problems where it is installed at the moment? Please don't tell me that I have to uninstall Flaming Cliffs again, I have just got the joystick setup and have it running perfect. Thanks!! Edited March 25, 2011 by Dudester22
Distiler Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Run modman as an administrator just o be sure mods are installed correctly (the alert will continue to be shown regardless you run it as an administrator or not). Dudester22 Posted March 25, 2011 Author Posted March 25, 2011 (edited) Run modman as an administrator just o be sure mods are installed correctly (the alert will continue to be shown regardless you run it as an administrator or not). But why is the alert telling me to install Flaming Cliffs in a new root directory? Are you saying to just ignore this error because it has installed in the correct root directory for windows 7 ultimate? When I start Modman I get the error message again, but when I look in the options and game management controls of Modman I can see that the game path is set as this > C:\Program Files (x86)\Eagle Dynamics\LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2< Can you tell me if this is the correct path, or do I need to change it? Thankyou!! Edited March 25, 2011 by Dudester22
Distiler Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 It's because C:\Program Files (x86) is usually protected in different ways in Vista and W7. And yes, run as administrator and ignore the alert (it's not an "error", just an alert, big difference!)
